Conservation and restoration take place trough manifold activities that are both related and inseparable.

Documentation, diagnostic analysis, technical drawings and virtual restoration are only a few of the necessary initial activities conducted before the act of restoration.

By implementing a methodical and robust preventative conservation regime (environmental parameter control, pest management, anoxic treatment, use of conservation-grade materials), objects will remain in stable condition for a longer period, halting further deterioration and requiring less invasive (and costly) care in the future.

Another service available is the delicate rectification of poorly-executed past interventions that hinder the understanding of the artwork, or are the cause of further damage.

ACTIVITY

Our activity covers all fields of conservation, from imaging documentation, computerized technical drawings and virtual restoration, to database development for cataloguing and conservation, environmental monitoring, anoxic treatments, musical instrument packaging, project management and production of mounts and restoration.

Diagnostic activities take place in collaboration with public boards (Enea Bologna, Sincrotrone Elettra Trieste) as do documentation activities (Regione Lombardia, Soprintendenza regionale Lombarda).
